I am a 7th grade student and I chose the topic homeless teens because I feel that people should know about them. I think that they should know because most people in this world don't really care about what's happening to them.

I have noticed that some of the homeless teens believe in God and most don’t, which reminds me of a story of a teen my Youth Night director told us. A long time ago at my church, when there was a different pastor, there were teens coming to my church. One who was about 17 years old, decided to become homeless in the subway and that’s where he died.

I’ve noticed that many homeless teens that believe in God have someone to talk to, but the ones who don’t believe in God don’t have anyone to talk to. What I would want to know is why teenagers, like the one I just mentioned, decide to become homeless. I also want to know how believing in God helps them.

Introduction of Homeless Teens and Spirituallity

Im in the 7th grade and I picked homeless teens and spirituality because this topic is very important to me. I have seen many teens on the street and I happen to be a friend with a kid who used to be homeless. I also believe that spirituality matters very much if you are homeless.

In the process I want to learn about ways we can help those people who are homeless. Especially to help the people who have no belief in God. I think not having a belief makes it harder to be alone on the street because you have no one to turn to and ask for help and guidance.
